Theatre Classes at JK School of Dance
Below is a brief explanation of each of our theatre classes:
Intro, Prelim & Grade 1 Theatre
Classes start at the age of 3. The introduction of theatre is a fun & funky dance class to more modern music. It teaches pupils to learn about music timing and developing basic skills, for example: kicks whilst making up fun routines to popular music.
Grade 2 & 3 Theatre
This class enables pupils to gain more technical skills and knowledge of different music timings. Dances become more structured and pupils begin to work on free expression developing their own routines to music.
The above classes are both 30 minutes in length and are charged at £3.25 a session.
Grade 4 & above Theatre
By grade 4, theatre is now much more disco and show dance based. Skills continue to develop and dances become more individual in style.
The Grade 4 and above class is 45 minutes in duration and is charged at £4.00 per session.
